This is a “Hero’s Journey” inspired by a Haida native drawing I saw in the Civilization Museum of Ottawa, Canada. It really inspired me to do my own version, which took me like 4 months to paint, but over a period of a year.
In my own narrative, it is about a group of archetypes travelling through the ocean of imagination, from a chaotic self-destructive world, to a harmonious, clean n peaceful world.

The Archetypes I chose to be on the boat are the shaman leader, the warrior soldier, the housewife mama, the outcasted freak, the visionary artist and the hater troll (a negative human trait we cant seem to shake, even when moving forward, and the only one looking back). Each character are reflections of myself and people in my life at the time, as well as aspects that we all carry inside.
